We have been to the Stone Forge about 10 times, last night (Tuesday) was the worst visit by far. I will start by saying that the waitress was great but that was the only positive of our visit. The kids pizzas were over cooked, my chicken boca... was over cooked and my wife eggplant dish was a disaster. I will be a while before we return...

Food excellent staff friendly. My only drawback is the NOISE the acoustics are HORRIBLE. UNLESS IM WITH A LARGE PARTY AND WE USE THE SMALL ROOM I TRY NOT TO GO THEREafew friends I've gone there with feel the same. I wish the owners could find a way to muffle to sound. Till then I go to raynham

We like going here after work for an app and drinks. For meals, I've enjoyed the lobster mac and cheese. The spinach and artichoke dip is the way to go for an appetizer. Pizza is also good

I come into this bar semi-regularly, and I have to say that tonight Caitlyn and Santina were impeccable. They were fun, pleasant, attentive and friendly without coming off as fake. I loved their suggestions and think they are a great asset to your establishment. The tacos that were on special tonight were cooked perfectly and I'm glad I took the suggestion from these bartenders. Oh, and their gingerbread house is the best!

I love it here! Stoneforge is a great spot to go after work to unwind, especially if you can get a table in the bar area or outside on the patio in the warm weather. The bar staff is great- very personable and friendly. Angelo works very hard to come up with drink specials and speciality drinks that go along with the season or holiday. They have a wonderful beer-on-tap selection for people who like to try something different. Their menu is quite extensive and I've enjoyed everything I've ever ordered- from apps, to sandwiches, to pizza, and full entrees- everything is delicious (and the bread and melted butter is wonderful too). The high ceilings and soft lighting and open windows in the spring and summer make this one of my go-to restaurants!! I'd highly recommend it!

First time there. I was visiting a friend who lives in that area. I live in Boston. She recommended we go for dinner. The waits for tables are ridiculous and they don't take reservations. However, if you call an hour before your anticipated time of arrival, it takes a little of the sting away from the normal wait. This was by the way, on Saturday night. The place is pretty big, decor and ambience, average, nothing fancy, for the amount of business they do, they can afford a renovation.. They have an open kitchen but we were not seated near there. In warmer weather they offer outdoor seating, which my friend commented is really nice. For appetizers, we tried... Scallops & Bacon maple molasses, sweet potato hash. OUTSTANDING and reasonabley priced @11.99. Decent sized and cooked perfect. You get a total of 6 scallops on on two skewers) Meze Plate $8.99 (hummus, tabbouleh, roasted peppers, feta cheese, grilled pita). Very tasty. The plating was beautiful (wish I took a pic). The pita looked and tasted homemade, For dinner entrees... My friend ordered the St. Louis ribs (1/2 rack or small size version) at $15.99, which came with one side and she opted for the garlic mashed potatoes.. Most of their entrees allow you the option to order smaller size version. The portion size for the smaller on this plate was generous. and and the ribs were practically fall-off-the bone. Really quite yummy.. I ordered the Lemon Chicken Risotto $18.99 (pan-seared boneless chicken breast, over spinach risotto, lemon spinach cream sauce) which came with a choice of one side, which I opted for garlic sauted spinach. A little pricey but pretty tasty. I most likely will go back when I'm in the area and if so, will try a steak or seafood entree as I think that is more their specialty. The Jim Beam Steak tips at the next table smelled and looked delicious.... My overall rating would have been a 3.5, but doesn't allow. So, I'll give a breakdown of my rating Ambience: 3 , Service 3, food 4)

I visited last night with a fairly large group from work. Our waitress was excellent and had a good personality. She was on top of everything. I had a couple drinks and they were made perfectly. Not too strong but not weak. I had the Jim Beam steak tips and they were delicious and perfectly cooked to my liking. I thought the plate was a little skimpy for the price of $21.99 but the taste and quality of the meat was excellent. I will return but will try something else if I'm really hungry.

I have been here a few times and the food was pretty good. I was there last night and I had the Jim Beam Steak tips and they were very good. By far the best I have had there. The atmosphere is good. The inside is big and open enough that you can have a conversation while not listening to the person sitting at the next table. There is also outdoor seating which is very nice. The seating area is in the back which I like that you ate not facing the street and you taste your food not car exhaust. The service on the other hand was just alright and it took a LONG time for the 3 of us to get our food (waited almost a 1/2 hour).

Midway meeting place for a blind first date... Wine please. Came on a fairly busy Thursday night (busy on the bar side anyway) and sat at an unbussed high top table (there were several tables with empty glasses). The bar area is nice and spacious and there is a really nice fireplace - though it was not lit this night. I couldn't tell if there was wait service because after 5 mins of sitting there unacknowledged - I grabbed a drink at the bar. Date arrives and so does the waitress (hmm..). Service was really slow and it took the waitress a long time to turn to take our orders. The salmon I ordered was really good and well-cooked and the sides tasty - my date also liked his food though they brought none of the sides he ordered. Again, the service was really slow which was just more annoying than anything. I would definitely come back (the outdoor patio looked awesome) but would make sure it was a night I didn't have to rush off anywhere.

I had dinner tonight at Stoneforge Grill for what will likely be my first and last time. To begin on a positive note, they have a nice beer selection, and they do a nice job of highlighting some of our fine local breweries. And the beer is fairly priced, too, so if I do return, I'll definitely park at the bar. However, dinner was a disaster. The service was slower than spring arrives in New England. They never brought water to the table. I ordered the lobster pie, which comes in one-lobster and two-lobster portions. I didn't specify which I'd wanted, but was kind of under the impression that one lobster was sufficient for a single person, and the two lobster pie, which was $30, was better suited for two people. I ordered side dishes of sweet potato fries and sauteed mushrooms. The lobster pie was terrible. The lobster was rubbery, and the flavor was completely overpowered by the copious amount of Ritz cracker crumbs shoveled on top. I ate about half of it. But at least the entree was hot, which is more than I can say for my side dishes, which seemed like they'd been outside shoveling snow for the past hour. My fries were tepid at best, and two minutes into my meal, they were stone cold. The mushrooms were completely DOA; these flavorless little creatures seemed like they'd been sauteed last Tuesday and spent the last several days in the fridge. When the check came, I saw that I obviously should have specified that I wanted one lobster instead of two, because I was charged for the two lobster pie. I asked the server what this was all about, and she said she assumed I wanted two lobsters (she never asked, and I never specified). She asked if I wanted to take the rest home, but I decided that if there's anything worse than overcooked, poorly prepared lobster, it's reheated, overcooked, poorly prepared lobster. What a shame, because I don't live far from this place, and I really wanted to like it. But given this experience, I doubt I'll ever find out whether it was an off night or whether my experience is par for the course at this restaurant.

I've eaten here a couple times and every time it has fallen short of my expectations. The food is always just okay and has something a little off about it. I ordered crab cakes and there was little to no crab and they were served with a mustard sauce. Another time I got the lettuce wraps and they came as a plate of lettuce with a small pan of over cooked ground beef. My fiancée got chicken and potatoes and didn't end up eating half of it because it was so unappetizing. The restaurant is beautiful and the bar is nice. I just wish the food was good.

My fiancé and I stopped here for lunch after reading other reviews. Unfortunately some of the lunch menu is not available on Sundays so we just ordered a couple salads from the regular menu. Our server, Caroline, was clearly swamped with a large party sitting near us, but she was very attentive and did an amazing job overall. I ordered the Pecan Chicken Salad and my fiancé got a small Caesar Salad with grilled chicken and a cup of French Onion Soup. We also ordered the Florentine Stuffed Cremini Mushrooms as an appetizer. Caroline delivered the mushrooms and a few minutes later another employee delivered our salads. My fiancé asked about the soup and the waiter said it would be just a minute. Caroline stopped by our table carrying a huge tray of drinks and desserts to apologize for the soup being late, but we told her it was no problem. The salads were great, and so was the soup once it came out. Finally, we ordered a slice of Lemon Berry Mascarpone Cake to share for dessert. The cake was light and fruity, a great ending to Sunday lunch.

This restaurant is lovely with a wonderful salad menu where the combinations of options will please any palate. More recently a taco offering with Mahi Mahi for $2.99 was a special along with a tomato base meatball soup, home made, that was a wonderful lunch. Plus it is clean clean clean with an open kitchen. It also has outside seating for the better days. Service is great as well. A. South shore gem!

We went for a low-key dinner for my birthday tonight. What a terrible disappointment. From the minute we walked in it was clear that the hostess was overworked and under-experienced. She had no idea how to seat tables, but was also overwhelmed by the fact that she had to also take phone orders and for some reason nobody was busing tables. There were many tables available but we waited approximately 15 minutes to be greeted and then finally seated. The server took so long to come to our table that by the time she did I had forgotten what I was going to order. I was very thirsty waiting for the beverages to arrive. This was a Monday night and the parking lot was not full, but it was clear that the reason that the staff was so busy, overworked, and inattentive was that they were understaffed. My children were fairly satisfied with their meals, but I could not eat the turkey tips that I had ordered because they were so dry. The server never asked me why I returned an uneaten plate of them because she was so busy flying around the restaurant trying to get to all of her tables. My husband was not thrilled with his special of Texas BBQ brisket and the cornbread was so sweet it tasted like dessert. One of my daughters thought we should complain to the management about our poor service, poor food, and also I had complained that the sangria tasted as if there was very little wine in it. I told her that we will reward the Stoneforge for my poor birthday dinner by not returning anytime soon. I feel like even if you are the only good, modern restaurant/pub in town it is not a good reason for slacking in service or food quality.

I've been here 2 times and 1 time for takeout. Both times I visited I really enjoyed myself. Good menu and good selection with above average service. The reason for only 3 stars is the one time I ordered take-out I was disappointed in the food, which was excellent when I dined in. The chicken parm skewers wee disgusting! They were also in a bed of sauce a half inch thick. My wife's burger was not as ordered.

Been here many times. The place runs hot and cold. Food is usually very good, but can be a little overpriced. Service is usually good too which is what amazed me on a recent Tuesday night. The place was busy for a Tuesday, granted, but the bar tenders and servers seemed really grumpy. Service was slow and I was never asked if I wanted water or another beer. Server had a little pissy fit when I told him I ordered the small portion of the pot roast, not the full order. Waitress seemed to have a bad attitude after the exchange. Server came back with a plate of cold potatoes, two pieces of carrot and a tiny piece of roast. I think I'll hold off going back here for awhile. Major attitude adjustment needed!

Food is delicious, if you don't mind the wait. Twice recently I ordered take out and had to wait twice as long as they suggested. :/ Food is worth the wait however! Excellent.

Met a friend here the other night and we had a great time. The watermelon slushie martini is like eating a jolly rancher, and I loved the fresh pita bread dippers that came with the buffalo chicken dip (SO much better than tortilla chips). I got the stuffed scallops which was probably too heavy following an app but was also delicious! Also like that you get two sides with pretty much any entree, since that pretty much forces me to order a vegetable! ( I mean even I wouldn't order two types of potato/starch, I have my limits).

Great food. It's a little pricey but it's worth it. The bartenders are great! They are very friendly and have a great selection, especially for beer. Half price apps on weekdays late at night is a great option!!

If you love calamari then you need to try this version! So tasty! This version has kalamata olives, tomatoes, pepperoni I and marinara and drizzled with an aioli sauce. Crab cakes were also delicious! Stay clear of the spinach dip not a lot of spinach too much cheese and cream! Always get a carafe of Sangria both the red and white are delicious! For dinner try the Steak & Cheese Ravioli you will not be disappointed.

I took my brother in law here for his birthday a couple weeks ago. We went a little later on a Saturday evening as to avoid the dinner crowds. The ambiance is nice and the is ample parking. When we walked in, we could clearly see that 75% of the tables were unoccupied. The hostesses were chatting away and only after one left for night did the other grab some menus and walk around looking for a table for us. This really annoyed me... 15 minutes later we sat down. The menu is decent, but I realized after sitting that I had browsed the lunch menu while we were waiting. The dinner menu doesn't have any of those yummy sounding sandwiches. Just something to take note of... The pizzas are huge! Big enough for a table. Nachos were disappointing. Burger was kinda soggy. I have to say though, I was impressed with the beer selection. I have eclectic taste in beer, and they even had something for me! So, although I was disappointed with a lot of things in this restaurant, if you are going to sit at the bar and share a pizza and have a unique beer in a nice atmosphere, it could be worth it.

Latest visit a bit of a bummer. I was hungry and got the surf and turf. The wife was not and got an appetizer (scallops with bacon and a Caesar salad). Although the scallops were cool they were tasty. The salad - average. My surf and turf was $27 and the fillet was undersized, thin and a bit overcooked. The two shrimp that were baked stuffed would have been good shrimp cocktail size but also disappointing. The stuffing was a buttery cracker base with no real add-ins. We sat in tight booths with high sides and the room volume made for conversation like we were using the Get Smart 'Cone of Silence". This place is turning into a drink at the bar, possibly tapas ..... but little else.

I came in last night for the first time. Apparently, it was Taco Tuesday. I ordered the chicken taco. It was just okay. Its served in a grilled soft taco with a salad mix. I didnt care for the dressing on the lettuce in the taco. The chicken was tasty but i dont plan on reordering this. They brought piping hot bread and this dip that was heaven. It has garlic and maybe some cheese in oil. Very yummy. For my entree I ordered the baked Stuffed Jumbo Shrimp. The dish came with 4 shrimp and they were slighty burnt. I was starving so I didnt send back but I was a little surprised they served it. For sides, I ordered mac & cheese (which was very tasty and sharp) and garlic sauteed spinach. I liked it but I didnt love it. I will most likely return but will probably order something else. Also, our server was super accomodating.

Visited the Stoneforge Grill for the third time last night. Was seated at the bar, actually in the bar area near the windows. Our wait staff was terrific. While we were waiting for a seat she offered to get us drinks which she promptly did. Her name was Johanna and when we were seated she also took our food orders. The food was very good and the service was good as well. It was a little noisy for me but it was extremely busy so to be expected. I would go again. Enjoyed the bar menu and food.

Maybe I had high hopes for this place, but to say I've experienced better is certainly an understatement. 8 of us came to Stoneforge (with a reservation) on New Year's Eve for dinner. The place was packed, but it seemed as if management had a pretty good hold on what was taking place and kept the reservations on track. First off, there was no real indication as to how to get in to the restaurant from Rt. 138. You had to drive down a path that led to what looked like condos/apartments behind the restaurant. In the daylight, one could probably figure it out, but certainly not past dark. Parking was at a premium and we might as well have parked in Fall River and walked. But it was New Year's Eve. There were two tables pushed together reserved for us. The first problem - the tables weren't level and if you had to sit in the middle (like I did), you had to balance your plate on the tables. Not fun. Not permissible for a restaurant charging their prices. And the noise level. Unbelievable. Was I in a college bar yelling to my friends across the table, or at a restaurant? I couldn't tell the difference. The food was nothing special and way overpriced. $24 for shrimp scampi where the shrimp were few, small, and practically burnt? You bet. There was no real flavor except for the butter (and lots of it). I kept throwing on the parmesan cheese in hopes of getting something. Others at our table agreed the food was nothing real special. However, this place wins the award for the oddest house salad. The small house salad came wrapped in a cucumber slice. Completely odd and over the top. I don't like spending time trying to learn how to dissect and disassemble my food. However, the service was 5 stars. Our server was awesome and knew the entire menu without skipping a beat. And friendly, too. Very professional. Never once did she say "you guys" (my biggest pet peeve at restaurants.) For dessert I had an espresso martini, which was a mistake. It wasn't served in a martini glass and it was more brown than creamy. I could taste a lot of kahlua and it wasn't creamy like they typically are. Furthermore, it was served with cinnamon and sugar around the rim. It tasted more like a loaded gingerbread latte martini than an espresso martini. I would say I would try something next time, but there will be no next time. For having no real flavor or quality to it, I found the food to be extremely overpriced and the restaurant to trying to be more than what it is. Drinks and appetizers at the bar one day after work? Sure. But dinner? No way!

Disappointed. We went several times and each visit we were highly disappointed. I order the all American burger at the Stoneforge Grill in Raynham and I really enjoy it. I ordered it here medium well and it came back completely pink. When we spoke to our waitress about this matter, she apologized and graciously took it off the bill, she also informed the manager. Yet the manager could not be bothered to come and make things right- and this isn't the first time it has happened. Once we ordered a burger and it came out extremely pink- when the kitchen recooked it for us it came out completely black and burnt as if they were saying "here, you want it recooked, this is what you get". It was like a slap in the face. We will definitely not be back.

Aside from slower service, they were very polite, hosted a party of 19 beautifully where all the meals came out warm and at the same time! The ribs and steak tips were perfect!!! And I am picky about steak being too chewy. The flavor was well balanced. Appetizers were delicious: buffalo chicken (not enough chicken) dip, spinach dip and calamari. The calamari was lightly fried with a delicious sauce. We were so pleased with Steve, our waiter. Between apps and dinner is a bread basket with a parm cheese and olive oil dip. Stoneforge had a special bourbon steak tip dinner for Mardi gras that was succulent and flavorful. The vegetables were well seasoned... A little heavy on the pepper but no big deal. For dessert we had the Mississippi brownie that was moist and complemented with ice cream, whipped cream and chocolate sauce. We left full with leftovers. The place was packed by the time we left, 7pm. I highly recommend the steak and everyone else seemed happy with their seafood, burger, and pasta dishes. The fried ice cream also came out beautifully presented.

After driving around for awhile I stumbled upon this place. I've stopped at the location in Raynham before, but this was my first time visiting this particular location. The restaurant is very nice, they have nice meals to sandwich/pub type food. I am going to explain the Raynhan location real quick before I do the rest of this review. When you go to the Raynham location you have a chose if sitting in the dinning room or the bar/pub area. The food in each area are different; the dinning room is more expensive and has nicer "meals" than sandwiches and pub food I believe. I also would disagree with someone when they said it was expensive. I stopped at this restaurant for lunch and the bill was no different than if I had stopped at another chain restaurant. The pub food is the same price as other places, it's their dinner rib-eye stuff that is expensive. I ate at the bar and the bartender was extremely friendly and helpful. She would stop and talk when we made conversation, but didn't overstay her welcome at the same time. My sandwich was delicious and one of the better ones I've had in awhile, because what I ordered you can get at many places. Stopping for lunch here was nice and I would go back again. We arrived just as lunch was starting and it was quiet, by the time we left the place was practically full.

Beautiful place with a great open feel and beautiful maple wood accents but again its all about the food and service. We sat down right away and were taking in the place and after 20 minutes our waitress came over. We asked why it took her so long and she said we were talking and she didnt want to bother us. Huh? We ordered appetizers from the raw bar and the shrimp was bad. After eating 2 doused in horse radish we noticed they were gooey and sent them back. Of course I wound up with food poisoning that night. Such a waste of a perfectly gorgeous restaurant but never will I visit again and if you do stay away from the raw bar. Fresh is not a word in their vocabulary.

This is one of the better restaurants in town with a great beer craft beer selection and a good food menu. I love the half priced bar menu, great deal for some lite bites and reasonably priced! Great atmosphere with a beautiful patio and a nice fire pit! I'll be back soon, my once a week visit isn't enough.

Mixed feelings about this place... Took 10 minutes to get our drink order taken No water brought to the table, despite every other table in the restaurant having cute old-fashioned milk bottles of water on the table. Menu is large, with lots of options Drink menu has lots of yummy cocktails Prices are reasonable Decor/atmosphere is nice, comfortable and relaxing Server was friendly Everyone enjoyed their meals, but no one was blown away by anything. I got food poisoning. Yup. 2 cocktails, a small Caesar salad, Miso Ginger Salmon with cilantro rice Rice undercooked and crunchy Salmon tasted good, seemed cooked properly. Spent the night in the bathroom Slept in sweats and fuzzy socks and still shivering with horrible chills It was summertime. In New England. With no A/C in my house. Called to report it the next day, district manager sent me a $25 gift card. Not sure I'll be back... plus, I live nowhere near this place. Meh.

2 words....Beef Juice. Firstly, our server, Sharon, was awesome. She was the perfect waitress...attentive, but not annoying, and very friendly. Calamari app was a bit greasy but tasty and with kalamata olives...a creative addition. Sangria was fruity & not too sweet. Bacon Scallops tasted fresh and smoky. Now down to the nitty gritty, the food was generally overpriced. 19.99 for steak tips which were actually overcooked eye round medallions. Shame on us for not saying anything....we just didn't want to make a big deal about it. 2 out of 3 of us got the "tips" and both of us had the same opinion. And both of us left 3/4 of our entree for a doggy-bag. Our waitress didn't ask why we didn't eat much...I could only assume she knew it was, alas, just the tips. Also, they put our "doggy leftovers" into an environmentally UN-friendly flimsy Styrofoam container...at our table! That was very tacky. So, if you're thinking: "why write a bad review if you didn't give the place a chance to correct the mistake?" The answer is: "beef juice". One of the doggy bags popped open onto the back seat of my car....making my car smell like a Philly cheese steak....fantastic. On second thought, that would've been better. If I go back, it'll be for drinks and apps only.

Service-OFF THE HOOK AMAZING Food: Dishes look amazing, but I haven't been impressed so far. I had the Turkey Gobbler this time. It was a lot of food and the fries were quite good, but the sandwich itself was just OK. The ingredients were high quality, but the way it was put together just didn't flow well. Lunch specials are the best non-pricy bargains, BTW. Parking is a cinch in this huge private lot. It's quite an expansive and cool restaurant.

Having been here a couple times, I'll say stick with the burger. I don't remember what I had the first time but it really wasn't very memorable. And I think this place is overpriced for the area it's in. That being said, you get good value if you stick to the burger and drinks. I found the burger to be incredibly moist and juicy. Definitely one of the better burgers I've eaten. There is also a good selection of brews, a couple of which I tried for the first time ever. The decor was really nice, very trendy looking place, that probably doesn't fit into the whole Easton scheme of things, but probably a good change from what's typically around. I also found service to be quite attentive, despite how busy it was. From reading the other reviews, it seems that we may have potentially lucked out. However, I can only speak for myself and say that Stone Forge is a go-to place should you be around the Easton area.

I've been coming here with friends for years. We come for special events or just to get together. It's always busy and sometimes we have to wait, but never for too long. The food is consistent reliable and I swear by their steak tips. If you want to commit suicide via dessert - try and eat a whole serving of their cake. It's great and it's huge. I definitely recommend here if you want a fun place to get some dinner with group of friend/family.

Burnt once shame on them, burnt twice ... Went here last Saturday night, waited 45 minutes for a table at 7:15 pm (this is understandable since they do not take reservations and they do pack them in). I had the Shrimp Scampi which was swimming in about 1 inch of an 'oily/buttery' bath at the bottom of my plate. I needed a separate plate to dry off my shrimp and pasta. My wife had the Baked Stuffed Shrimp. This dish had medium size shrimp with a small amount of stuffing 'on the side' of each shrimp. The shrimp were really too small to stuff and they would have fallen apart in the stuffing process. The Waitress performed the minimum required duties of taking our orders, clearing our plates and bringing us our bill. I needed the assistance of another server to get a drainage plate for my Shrimp Scampi as the waitress was nowhere to be found. They do pack them in, really can't be the food, it's got to be the liquor ...

I went here with my mom and a friend to celebrate early mothers day. I came early and had to wait for the rest of my party to get there. The general Manager Josh was very attentive and helpful. He suggested I have a drink while I waited and let me sample a few different beers. We were seated right after my party came and waitress came right away. We ordered a bunch of apps, drinks and dessert. The Apps were really good, drinks amazing (mojitos, mmmmmmm). We shared a piece of lemon cake for dessert. It isn't made here but is really yummy. Our waitress was friendly and on the ball. The manager Josh even sat with us for a bit. He asked how everything was and chatted a bit. Great casual place to meet for drinks dinner, whatever, love it!

On the road and out with customers. Ate at the other location last night, so good comparison. Liked this location better for decor and ambiance. Open, up to date. Great bar and selection of drafts. Service people very good. Felt the food, while mediocore in both locations, was better in Raynham. Had calamari, meatball trio and fried gnocchi. None memorable, actually the meatballs had a distinct "sams club" look to them with some toppings placed on top. Fried gnocchi were forgetable. Would go back for drinks and conversation, probably not to eat.

Went last night because we had a gift card. The wait was about 20 minutes, place was busy. We thought that to be a good sign. I was starving & knew right away I wanted the lazy stuffed lobster. Was served to me under cooked. The meat was still opaque. I sent it back & two men both came to apologize. Never introduced themselves, but assuming one may have been the manager. One of the men personally delivered my second lobster dish, but that was even more undercooked than the first. The meat was very undercooked, the claw meat that had been pulled from the shell was very wet & soggy as was the stuffing they threw on top. VERY disappointed that they would screw up TWICE! Would have thought they would have been really careful the second time. They said they were sorry & gave us 3 $5 vouchers to come again. That wouldn't even cover the cost of the lobster dish I originally wanted. Better stick to salad if you venture out there. But I would definitely opt for someplace else. How hard is it really to cook lobster??? And to pull it out of the shell & still serve it raw is just unbelievable! My husband got the blackened salmon which tasted pretty good, but I think they missed the whole point of "blackened" because it was anything but. Looked lightly baked...no blackening there...

I came here with high expectations and was somewhat disappointed. This place seems to be very well put together, but I wasnt too impressed by what I tried and felt like the waitress was in a crappy mood. Stoneforge has like a downtown Providence restaurant feel to it but, food tastes like its from Applebees! Defineltly willing to try again just not the appetizers this time.

What to expect when you visit the Stoneforge, Easton: Large restaurant with booths & seperate tables. A small secluded room for functions. Very large bar that is almost always packed and flat screen tvs can be viewed at all angles. Loud music and noise...do not expect an intimate candlelit dinner. Most all staff are kind and accomodating at this location and service with a smile. Food has always been delicious (the bread & oil is a fave) and many options for beer and wine. The chef's bar is our favorite spot in the house, where you get front row views of the bustling Stoneforge kitchen. The Forge is what it is...if you go with realistic expectations, you'll leave satisfied. It isn't the very best you've ever had but it most certainly isn't the worst either.

I love this place! The decor, the ambiance, the menu, the drinks, and OMG the food! I've never had anything here I didn't like. I'm especially fond of the tapas menu at the bar as I tend to be a bit indecisive, so that way I can choose several items. It's also great when you just want a little something and not a whole meal. Went with some friends on a Saturday afternoon and had a lovely time talking, eating and drinking at the bar. I find the tall chairs super comfortable (they're so much nicer than just regular ol' bar stools) and the big flat screen TVs are great when there's a game or games on. During the cooler months, the fireplace in the corner definitely lends a cozy warmth to what one would expect to be a cold-feeling room as the entire restaurant has an open floor plan...but it does not feel cold at all. It feels comfortable and roomy, even when it's super busy and there are customers standing around the bar waiting for a table. The service is great and I've consistently had very friendly servers and wait persons. I've been to one other Stoneforge location (Raynham) but I much prefer this one and will continue to return.

Been here a few times. Pros Nice place to hang out and have a beer or other adult beverage. Good portions and selection. Nice bar and open kitchen creates a good atmosphere for hanging out. Family friendly. Cons They just don't season their food. It's incomprehensible. Lots of things that sound great on the menu, but just have no flavor. Too much salad dressing. They will drown your salad. Food is only okay but with a premium price. Quality is meh. Service is meh.

Every time I go to this place it's like a high school reunion which is pretty much the worst thing I could ever think of. However, I do understand that a retaurant/bar has no control over their patronage so I'll overlook that for the moment. A redeeming quality of this place would certainly be their extensive tap beer selection but it's clear that they don't ever clean the tap lines. Harpoon IPA is not supposed to taste like that. Neither is the Magic Hat Seasonal. My advice would be to stick to the bottled beer selection which is impressive and suffers no skunky contaminants from dirty tap lines. Yes, the food is good but the menu lacks focus. Is this a steakhouse or an Asian/American fusion joint? I just can't get too excited about the Stoneforge.

Great all around. Big for us is the outdoor dining and one of the only places in the area to have huge open windows in the bar area. During many visits we have enjoyed the dining room, the chefs table is an awesome experience and we have celebrated special events in the Stonehill Room. The bar has a great small plate menu and terrific staff. They have multiple beers on tap and always new microbrews rotating through.

The food is great and the building looks nice. However, the price ($30ish/person) doesn't match the paper menus and Pepsi-sponsored cups and bendy straws (think: cheesy buffet). The chef is the main reason to return. Everything else is just OK.

I used to be a frequent visitor to Stoneforge when I was a student nearby and I'm happy to say I'm just as pleased with it as I was back then! The best part of the meal, what I look forward to any time, is the bread and cheesy oil dip. I could just eat this for my main meal and be satisfied. I was also pleased with Stoneforge's take on calamari - well fried with tomatoes, olives and a slightly spicy aioli - it was perfection. The only dish I was disappointed with was the lobster mac and cheese, the consistency was just off, very watery. Overall, Stoneforge is a quality restaurant where you can get good food and drinks without breaking the bank.

The food was served hot fresh and in a timely manner. The service was good the waitress was nice and always attended to our needs. We sat on the patio. It was a nice summer night the atmosphere was fair not too quiet and not too loud outside. This is my second time here and I have no complaints about this place.

Not thrilled. I went here once and thought I remembered it being alright, so I thought I would take my parents here on the way from the airport to the south coast. Overpriced and very average, all around. Not bad but not really worth it. I think I'll keep going to Olive Garden after an airport run.

brought a bunch of clients in for lunch. Food was solid and reasonably priced. Ordered the lobster roll which was huge and came with a side of fries and a pickle. The lobster was fresh and not overly dressed. Service was somewhat slow but we were not in a hurry so it was fine.

DEALS/FOOD: I always come here for their bar food! They have an awesome deal from Sunday- Thursday (9pm-11pm only) 1/2 price bar food (dine-in bar only). The menu does change so you won't get sick of the same food that is being offered. I recommend the florentine stuffed mushroom, they recently changed it into mini mushrooms instead of the the single big one, but still taste fantastic. ATMOSPHERE: Beautiful entrance from the outside with trees dressed in lights. Plenty of parking spaces. INSIDE- I love restaurant that offers an open kitchen where you can see how your food is prep and made and know there weren't any funny business going on. The ambiance is cozy with low lighting. As for noise level, it can get loud especially when there's a game going on.

Went here for lunch. Food was good. I had a turkey sandwich, my partner had a chicken Parmesan sandwich. Fries were very good. Service was a bit slow, as was the hostess who took 5 minutes to show up. I'll go back.

My boyfriend and I visited for lunch yesterday. Surprisingly there was a lot of people there on a Monday at 12pm. It was clean and the hostess and waitress were very friendly. I ordered the chicken with craisin sandwich with fries. My boyfriend ordered the grilled cheese with prosciutto and tomato soup. The tomato soup was rich, hot and creamy. It seemed the soup had some cheese it in. Normally my boyfriend is not a fan of putting cheese is soups but he said it was delicious. He did state that there was a little too much prosciutto in the grilled cheese. It was stuffed. If you are not a huge fan of prosciutto I wouldn't suggest this sandwich. My sandwhich was also made well. It was shredded chicken with mayo, walnuts and craisins. There was just enough mayo to make it creamy without being overwhelming. I would preferred a little more craisins and a little less walnuts but overall great choice. The fries were hot and crunchy with little salt. I can't not forget to add that were were offered bread and oil. The bread came in pre-sliced small pieces. The oil had a great blend of oil, herbs, and cheese. The menu looked like it had some great choices for dinner as well. Overall great experience and I would definitely return to try some other dishes.

The wait was triple what we where original told, so my GF and I waited at the bar over some drinks, catching the bartenders attention seemed to be rather difficult when we where ready for more drinks. As for the bar, Nothing out of the ordinary, no specialty drinks or anything of that nature, or at least that we where made aware of. There were plenty of beers on tap which was pretty neat. as for the dinner (after having to go out front to the hostess and asks for an idea on timing) we finally got seated, The ambiance was much like McDonalds gone fancy. we where seated at a table in the main dinning room surrounded by booths. When we placed our orders the food came at a normal pace except our waitress forgot to check on the part where I asked for no mushrooms on a burger, but overall the food was OK, nothing to brag about. The kitchen is exposed, and that was rather neat to see. an improvement to the dinning facility would perhaps make it more personalized, It was all very unison in brightness and less "private" per say on our dinning experience.

As with other reviews, I had high hopes for a good dinner with my family. The atmosphere was pleasant and the waitress was accommodating. Everything was going well until we got our food. My wife ordered the special of the night, fish and chips which arrived with the "lightly battered" coating almost blackened. She was shocked that it even made it out of the kitchen and could only eat a small portion of it. My son ordered a "medium" burger which also arrived well-done with a very smokey taste which was never indicated on the menu. I decided to order two appetizers as my meal, the garden salad and the crab cakes. The crab cakes were cold by the time I received them, indicating they were sitting out for a while. Not to mention, they were "mushy" as the best to describe. When the waitress did come back, we indicated our issues, ordered a new meal for my son and had my crab cakes reheated (still mushy). We were shocked to see that nothing was removed from our bill especially since the items were pricey. My wife even completed their survey card indicating our issues. We have yet to hear back from Stoneforge.

I am not a huge fan of this restaurant. I have eaten here on several occasions now, and must say that for the price, it's not exceptionally good. One time, the salad was swimming in dressing, to the point that everyone at my table could not eat it. We had to have do-overs. The entrees were ok, but nothing remarkable. A pasta dish for $17 should be good, in my mind. I got a steak here once and it was very good. The bar is very nice, but I must comment that it gets VERY loud in there and it's loud in the dining room as well. The appetizer list is varied and interesting and they do have a good martini list. The Stoneforge is a great place for a group of friends to meet up for appetizers and cocktails. However, if you are looking for a fabulous meal, you might want to look elsewhere. You will get an edible meal, maybe even a good meal, but probably not a GREAT meal.

What a terrible disappointment. The service was not bad, but the food was terrible. I have been here before. It is evident the quality of the food has gone down but the prices are extremely high. You are paying for really good quality and getting diner food. The fries were greasy and they changed the brand, the portion was really small. I have order BBQ ribs in the past, usually really good but today it was like plastic, no meat, really bony and it was just really bad. We spoke to the waitress and her reaction was "you should have said something, I would have changed it, and yes the fries are not good". I was expecting to pay less or have the manager stop by or something. We were very nice, and she was nice too, just detached. Complete disappointment for the amount of money we paid. We have given it 3 tries after the food started to change. We will never go back. Salads use to be delicious and big, now tiny and with cheap lettuce. Too bad but I will not go back

Excellent, consistent customer service & delicious food. Extensive food, beautiful presentation, great wine list & fabulous beer choices! The restaurant design is a pleasant surprise for a local restaurant! Get there early otherwise you won't get a table! Even during the week & at lunch you must get there early! The booths are great & private! Great microbrew beer selection!

I don't get the appeal of this place. Went here the other night for dinner. Menu is all over the place in terms of cuisine. That always worries me, because it usually means they can't do anything right. And I was correct in my assumption. Had a greek salad to start. Husband had French onion soup. Both were just OK, but nothing special. Got a grilled pizza with chicken and portobellos. Crust was soggy and the chicken tasted like it had been microwaved. YUCK! And if that weren't enough, it was pretty flavorless. Could have used some roasted garlic. Only had 1 piece and the rest was thrown in the trash. Husband had the surf and turf. Seemed pretty bland as well. At least the meat was cooked to the correct temperature. Our waiter was attentive up to the point where we got our entrees. Then we couldn't find him. Had to flag him down after waiting for a while for our check. I believe dining here was the cause of me feeling ill that night. Won't return.

My family and I eat at Stoneforge Grill quite often. Family lives in Easton, and it's very close for us to drive to. The best part about this restaurant is the bar. The bartenders are extremely friendly, and will remember you if your a regular. You can order the main menu at the bar, also there is a tapas menu. The selection of beer on tap is excellent! There is also a great choice of martini's. We usually only eat lunch here, so I always recommend the Buffalo Chicken Wrap with Ranch Dressing. You can get this with chips or fries. Stoneforge isn't the best restaurant on the South Shore, but it's the best in the area.

Stopped by Friday 2/6 for a beer and share some za with friends before I went to work as at the thoracic surgery center. Service was excellent, Bobby the bartender (ex-99 barkeep) was attentive to us cheapass weasels who only ordered 3 beers and a cheese pie. Atmosphere was suburban chic sans cell phone morons --- I was impressed! No matter the chatter, its an upscale 99 with better food, drinks and vibe. I'll continue to go and enjoy.

This place has become the automatic meeting point for a group of girlfriends on our once a month (we try) gathering. We love it here. The food hardly ever disappoints though on occasion they've been out of a main dish special or two. But the service is very good, mostly recent props go to Shane. We are a group that arrives in dribbles, and he was there to greet, offer to get a beverage to each, and then gave us time to decide on meals, and plenty of time to chat. Great take, good for meeting up, family dinners, overall easy going crowd kind of place.

avoid this place way too expensive and the food and service are mediocre at best. they think they are a "boston" restaurant and they are far from it! get real! mediocre quality, really high prices and lousy service. gasp, we should have gone to the 99! i can't believe i just said that but really. imagine spending $80 for three people and thinking the food at applebee's is better. keep in mind i think applebee's is the anti-christ of food. stoneforge is awful. no onions in the onion soup, salad dressing that tastes like they stole the recipe from dairy queen. there is no way the waitress was EVER trained. she was clueless. she forgot things and when we asked her for a recommendation you would have thought we asked her the square root of 23,004! REALLY!! hated it! btw. if you are foolish enough to try this place watch your car. they have had so many brake ins that there are signs on the doors saying remove your belongings from your car! imagine spending $$$$ for dinner and then finding out your car was broken into! ouch!

Went for a late lunch last week. Atmosphere is nice but it reminded me of Bertucci's. Ordered drinks, they took a while to come, then soup - took a really long time to get the soup and sandwiches. Couldn't quite figure out why everything took so long since there was plenty of staff and hardly any patrons. Soups were great, steak and cheese eggroll was over cooked and lacked of flavor. Got a chicken flatbread sandwich that again was blah. Maybe we ordered the only crummy stuff on the menu but I was truly unimpressed

The atmosphere was great. The service was friendly and the menu was very nice. It's a very classy place to have dinner. It has a brand new looking interior while still remaining welcoming. I highly recommend this place. I know I'll be going back :)

The two big drawbacks here are that the beer on tap tasted off (see other reviews) and that my wife got sick afterwards. The menu is decent sized and the food is ok. There are a good amount of beers, but they clearly don't clean out the lines often enough. It just makes all the beers have an extra bit of funk to them. It's not on the cheap side of things, but the waitress was super nice. Will give it another shot sometime.

The menu and alcohol selection is great. However how they chose to design their dining space leaves many asking for earplugs at peak times. I'd suggest checking it out during non-peak times. Despite it being in Easton, the afterwork crowds flock to this place most nights of the week. I've been here to eat with family/friends on two occasions as well as used it as a afterwork coworker get together venue on 3 occasions. They were always accomodating and gave us the rear separate room on those occasions.

Love this restaurant... I am a frequent flyer. Great Food Excellent Menu Selection Great Atmosphere Yes, It is ALWAYS busy and it is typically tough to find a seat at the bar despite the fact that the bar has almost 50 seats. Just shows that it is a great place to go. I try something different each time I go and i've never been disappointed. The bar is great.. they even have a creative drink menu.

Having heard ads for this place on the radio, I pictured something totally different. It turns out that this is actually a pretty snazzy place, with a pretty high-end steak-heavy menu. I'd pictured bar-type food, to be perfectly honest. I had a chicken and pasta dish with broccoli, similar to ones at numerous other places, but probably twice as good as i've had anywhere else. The salads are terribly weird, a tuft of lettuce nestled in a toroid of cucumber, and didn't impress me. Of course, the downside to the pretty fancy menu is that it's pretty spendy. There's a solid beer selection, and a really nice bar, too. i was pleasantly surprised.

The crab cakes were AMAZING. Greek Salad was fine Baked potato was cold I had some mango chicken dish with couscous. It was a new dish and the server said it was great. It wasn't that good. It was a kitchen sink of ingredients that didn't mesh well. It wasn't horrible but I will not order it again. The service started out really great and then kinda fell off. It's a decent place but not a place I would get excited about.

I wanted to eat here for a while and everytime I went it was always busy because they dont do reservations.it was a real nice looking place in a nice area .I drove from boston waited over an hour and boy was I disappointed at what I received as food.unseasoned bland overpriced food .from my dining experience anywhere that has a giant menu isnt usual great at anything. The bar was nice colleen loved the martinis.service was just that service, nothing more.wouldnt recommend it.

I do not understand how people love this place. Okay Stoneforge appears to be a very nice restaurant with their fancy marble and wood bar and there endless menu of drinks and food but it is just OKAY. Stoneforge, I suppose is better than the chain restaurants in the area but I have never had a decent meal there. I live very close to the Easton location so I have been dragged there a few times and my food had no flavor. I have ordered a veal chop that was not cooked correctly. Their wraps were as dry and flavorless as possible and the pizza I got was alright, but nothing spectacular. Anything on a stick there is disgusting including the chicken parm skewers or the coconut chicken skewers. They were chewy and practically inedible. The only thing this restaurant has proven is that it does a lot of things badly. If you want to buy an overpriced piece of crap then I highly recommend Stoneforge.

Expensive, crappy service and large crowds.... BUT the food is decent. My absolute favorite dish is the Buffalo Chicken Mac and Cheese.. OMG its so yummy I even get it take out sometimes. I go here periodically with my girlfriend...decent food like I said..but they have lots of room for improvement.

My husband and I love this restaurant and have gone several times. We often will even at at the bar if we can get seats and there is a longer table wait. Our food is always good and the drink menu is amazing. We love all the beer choices and the espresso martini is like dessert in a glass. The atmosphere is great for the area. I will agree that sometimes the salad dressing is a bit much. Ask for it on the side. I also had almost too much garlic in my pasta dish but it was still very very good. I rarely eat my leftovers and I do when I have any from here.

This is one of my favorite restaurants. The menu has a broad selection of items. Everything I've ordered there has been perfectly cooked. The menu items (e.g. kiwi salmon) are more creative and better-prepared than the standard Chilis/Applebees/etc fare. (Prices are higher, too.) The bar is huge and has a wide (36) variety of beers on tap. The hard liquor selection is broad as well. And they add fresh blueberries to Sea Dog Blueberry Ale. I usually go off-hours, so I can't speak for the volume inside the restaurant. But I will say the entire inside is lined with hard surfaces, so I would expect it to be loud when it's busy. The service has always been prompt and attentive. This restaurant has never disappointed me.

This is probably one of my most favorite restaurants in the area. They have an awesome bread basket with olive oil and parmesean cheese. The lobster bisque is $5 for a cup and not to mention delicious. All the entrees are good and you get to choose two sides of your choice to go with most meals. The sticky rice is amazing! The chocolate cake for 2 is the biggest piece of cake I have ever seen and it soo decadent. AHH i love stoneforge

I went to the Stoneforge Grill for the first time last night and I was impressed. The atmosphere was warm and cozy and the food was delicious! Service was ok, as it did take a long time for the waitress to greet us and bring drinks. But once the orders were placed the staff was very efficient in getting the food out to us. I ordered the Chicken Pot Pie and it was extremely tasty! I will definitely be going back in the near future!

I disagree with the reviewer who said the bartenders are good. The several times I have been there even though there were several bartenders on and it was not crowded we couldn't get anyone to serve us drinks. After waiting way too long we ordered drinks and food. The food came but we were not given utensils until we were able to flag someone down. Sevice is very poor here, bartenders have little personality, and food is good but not for the prices.
